Entry Level Supply Chain SpecialistCompany: The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company has a long tradition of aerospace leadership and innovation, and Boeing Global Services (BGS) continues this tradition today by delivering unparalleled aftermarket support and services for customers worldwide.Boeing Global Services is seeking an Entry Level Supply Chain Specialist to join the Boeing C-17 Field Supply Chain team in Dover Air Force Base, DE.This position will focus on supporting the BGS Supply Chain. This person will be responsible for the daily activities of the on-site Boeing warehouse functions supporting the C17 program. Required to process induction documents for aircraft parts and equipment. They will also be responsible for data entry into automated systems to ensure parts availability. This position requires the ability to operate and maintain material handling equipment, perform shipping and receiving operations, hazardous material shipping, traffic management operations, export control, and packaging and crating. Coordinate daily tasks with Lead to align priorities for smooth operation of workloads.The Entry Level Supply Chain Specialist will work according to established Boeing and Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) requirements for warehousing operations.Position Responsibilities:Be proficient in the operation of mechanized and manual materials handling equipment, hand tools and other equipment related to materials storage, control and transportationAbility to observe, count, and maintain stock levels in order to match names, codes, numbers, or sizes of items with lists on which these items are shownAbility to recognize poor or unacceptable quality of parts prior to shipmentCoordinate with various departments to expedite and complete movement of material and parts to required locationsAssist in the movement of assets and components through the repair cycleBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Experience working both independently and in team environments.Supply chain and inventory management experience.Shipping and receiving experience.Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping or customer service environment.Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds on a frequent basis.Ability to travel 10% of the time.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
